Absolutely fantastic diaper bag!

For our first baby (now age 3), we used a Baby Kaed backpack diaper bag, and it worked out great, but after we had another baby (now 10 months), we found the Baby Kaed too small to carry all the necessary supplies for both kids. It was time to upgrade!
After conducting extensive diaper bag research, I found a bag that either parent could carry (a definite plus, as some diaper bags are "girly"), with organization to spare, plenty of room, plus an ergonomic backpack design that makes it easy to manage the kids while out and about: the Dad Gear Backpack Diaper Bag.
Can't say enough good things about this bag! First, the wipes are easily accessible without even opening the pack, via a flip-down compartment on the outside. Genius! Second, there is a pocket for diapers that's on the very top of the bag, so you never have to dig around for them. Next, there are two deep side pockets (one on each side), and I routinely fit four cans of premade formula on one side, and a bottle on the other side with a zip-lock bag of extra drop-in bottle liners. Then there are two mesh pockets on the outside of the bag, perfectly sized for a sippy cup or spare bottle (or even my own water bottle)
There are two organizational pockets in the front, one of which I use to store diaper supplies (lotions/creams, changing pad, extra wipes, hand sanitizer and the like), and the other I use for crayons, books, and a zip-lock bag with a bib and baby spoon.
Finally, there's a huge middle pocket, which I use to store a spare outfit for each child (right down to the socks, in case of catastrophe), snacks for the toddler, baby food for the baby, toys, coloring books, board books and a few other odds and ends that make life easier.
This bag is comfortable to carry, as well. We live close to Disney, and have used it on our frequent, all-day park excursions. The straps and the design of the bag make it easy to manage, and I highly recommend it to parents with more than one child!
Worth the money! Daddy will thank you.
Twin Mom approves!

When the twins were born we used a diaper backpack that we got from Babies R us, but it didn't have enough sections to make everything that we needed accessible. This bag has enough compartments of varying sizes that it accomadates everything that I need for my twosome. Right now I have it configured for 2 bottles on one side, juice or water bottle refills on the other side pocket, diapers and first aid items in the 2nd compartment, books and my wallet etc in the first, toys in the biggest, and handy snacks in the smaller top part. The biggest compartment is big enough to put sand toys for both of them in and whatever else. Everything is conveniently placed!
I used to have a bag for work and a diaper bag for the kids, but now I just combine the two so I don't have to feel like a pack animal.
The only thing I would change is the changing pad. It is too small, so I just used one that we already had and exchanged it.
Excellent!
love this bag

Very smartly designed. Lots of pockets in all the right places and sizes. I like the smaller top pocket for quick access to small things like pacifier, snack trap... I also like the retro styling. We used to have a diaper dude. But not even a year went by and it started to fall apart. zipper pulls came off and inner lining ripped. It was also too small to have for long day trips or on the plane, as we flew quite a bit. Also the strap on the messenger style 'dude' always seemed to be the wrong length and the shoulder cushion twisted the wrong way, and when I was bending over to pick up baby it was always falling forward and getting in the way. I searched extensively for backpack-style bags because I liked having my hands free now that baby is more mobile, but didn't want just any back pack with a large inner compartment that I would lose the smaller things to the bottom of the bag only to spend time digging and unpacking to find these things. I found the DadGear backpack on ebags. THe DadGear backpack is well compartmentalized and large enough for our needs when we go on day trips, and even a weekend outing, but also has small pockets for quick and easy access to commonly and immediately needed things. The inner compartment is large enough for a few books / toys, change of clothes, bib, and a light jacket with room to spare. I usually put eating and diapering supplies in the smaller pockets. It's mostly comfortable: We did a lot of walking when we were in Europe recently and my upper back did get sore after a few days. I wish it had a chest strap to distribute the weight on my shoulders a little better. There is no waist / hip strap to distibute some of the weight to the hips, but I generally don't like that because that would make for more straps hanging off the bag to get caught on stuff (and my shoulders would still get sore anyway, but a chest strap would be useful.) I like the overall relatively streamlined design. The refillable diaper dispenser is a bit small and sometimes annoying to refill, but still sooo handy when you really need it. When we just go to the grocery store or run quick errands the DadGear back pack is a bit big and I usually just stuff a couple diapers and a ziploc of wipes in my purse and call it good.
roomy with lots of pockets

I really like this backpack. I carry a ton of stuff to keep my little two year old happy on outings and I still have room left over. You cna easily use this for a day trip or more. I love the diaper hammock. The only complaint is that the lid on the wipes container keeps coming undone. It is nice to have those handy as well though. I would have liked to have an insulated area to keep things cold but I've only found one bag that has that and I didn't like the design/size.
Awesome Diaper Bag!!!!

Took this on our recent plane trip cross country with our 16 month old. It is great! The best part is the integrated wipes pocket that you can access from the front of the pack. That's awesome! It holds so much. We fit a full Costco wipes pack in the wipes pocket, 10 size 4 diapers in the top diaper pocket, 2 full sets of clothes, 2 sippy cups, a blanket, books, trucks, a magnadoodle, a portable tray, bibs, snacks, the whole kitchen sink!!! We use it as the sons overnight bag at his grandparent's house too. We can even fit his nebulizer in it. The stroller straps are great too. Our old bag didn't have those and always dragged behind the stroller. It is easily adjustable to fit both me (short) and my husband (tall). Stylish enough (not ugly) for both me and my husband. It's great that the zippers go all the way around too, so you don't feel like you're blindly digging down in the bag. This is one awesome bag and I wish I started out with this from the beginning.
Not perfect but still excellent!

We got this after getting the smaller dadgear sport bag and it being a little too small and inconvenient. But I liked the wipes pack and quality of the bag so I went ahead and bought this.
++ The quality of the bag is great (we got navy, looks good!). The zippers are so smooth and the bag is well built and comfortable to wear. The diaper "hammock" is perfectly sized for about 10 diapers, so this is a great bag for an overnight trip. The two smaller organizer pockets are nice, and hold a lot, and make a good place for "mom/dad stuff")
-- The downside: I really wish there was a convenient place for the changing pad, I've got it folder up and in one of the small zipper pouches, but there's just no good place for it! And when you go to change the kiddo, I wish that the changing pad, diapers, and wipes were located closer together. Sometimes the bag is tucked in the corner of a counter, and you want everything at your fingertips. Also, when you take it out it is bigger than other bags (about the size of a normal backpack) but carrying a baby and having this on your back... watch out when you turn around.... you've got a big footprint!
Great spacious backpack with a lot of good features

+++ I like: Very good materials, sturdy, easy to clean. Diaper and wipe accessibility is great. a lot of room, i can fit blankets and extra cloth for both my 2 month old and 5 year old kids, and some books an my make up, etc. as compared to my babybjorn backpack which barely held a change of cloth and diapers, it is amazing and holds the shape so well, i.e. you can stuff it up if you have to. Also, it has 2 side zippered pockets for bottles that are wide enough to fit my Foogo thermoses for kids' hot food, something i wished for in my other bags. i.e. i had to use a main compartment to store it which means your food and cloth together.. they are a little hard to get out , but provided that once used u dont need it anymore, it's ok. Mine is red and i love the bright vibrant color. I was unfortunate to get some thick black tar on it, but it was surprisingly very easy to clean with a bit of oil paint thinner. it looks like new now. I also like the fact that it has a clamshell opening, thus you can get to the bottom without needing to unpack the whole thing. very very useful feature for me.
--- I wish: the mesh pockets inside were stretchable, as they are difficult to use if u drop a small item in, you have to struggle a bit to pull it out. also, the wipe box is smallish (i have to carry an extra pack with me), i have to refill it after ~every 3 changes and it does not fit some of the wider wipes, which is a pain, i have to buy wipes specifically for that container as it does not fit my Kirkland brand wipes. side mesh pockets are nice an stretchy but too small, i cant carry a bottle in it (though may be a small bottle of water is ok), so i use it for pacifiers and small toys.
Overall, however the bag is great and looks good both on girls and boys. it is comfortable to carry and i can see using its use past it's diaper bag present role.
Good Size Diaper Bag - Well Constructed!!

This diaper bag is great. It fits everything we had in our other diaper bag that was always overflowing and still has space for more. We only have 1 child and there is more than enough room probably could use with 2 kids. It has multiple sections with pocket in it so you can store everything.
I read the other reviews before making this purchase and read about how this bag was too big so when I opened the box it looked small. My husband saw it and he said it was pretty small and doubted that I would be able to get everything in it. He was impressed after I packed it up and saw there was room to spare. My husband is 6 feet and thinks the overall size of the bag is a little small on his frame. It is the perfect size for me (I am 5' 6").
A must have for a dad (and mom)

I wish i had this diaper back pack to start with. There is also a line called Daisy Gear which offers a similar line of products as well as some as the same.. just to let anyone know.
I LOVE THIS BACPACK! It's comfortable and offers plenty of storage space. Worth every penny. The company is great too. The diaper wipes dispenser was broken so I called the company, they shipped a new one out immediately!
When my daughter gets older and less demanding (diaper bag wise) I intend on buying the Daisy Gear tote.
This bag really has everything you'll need.
PERFECT
