• Hangar Breaks

  Hanging Space Bags are a great concept but the actual product doesn't live up to its promise. These bags are available in two sizes. I used them for my wool suits and coats so I could seal them with mothballs. The bags themselves worked fine but the plastic hanger broke after a few days or weeks because wool suits and coats are heavy. Most people will not buy these bags to store lightweight silk dresses because lightweight items don't need to be compressed. They will purchase them to store bulky items like coats and suits. Unfortunately, if more than one item is stored in one, it will probably be too heavy for the hook and it will break. (The way to fix this after it breaks is to take the metal hook off of a wooden suit hanger and insert it through a hole drilled through the plug at the top of the bag. This will destroy the vacuum-tightness of the bag and require cannibalizing a suit hanger but at least it will salvage an expensive bag so that it can still be used for mothball storage.)

  I bought this due to a previous review. I have a wedding dress that I needed to store. I was able to get it in along with the slip that I wore underneath. Got the bag completely zipped which is hard and time consuming to say the least. I attached the vacuum and sucked all the air out. Put the hanger top back on and I heard air leaking.I adjusted the top and hung it up. Still, the air continued to leak. We took the hanger top off and laid it flat. Came back less than an hour later and all the air had returned.
  
  After inspecting the bag we noticed a minute hole at the very top where the plastic hanger is attached. The plastic is very flimsy and thin. I would not reccommend this bag to anyone. It seems that the pressure when sucking the air out combined with the poorly designed plastic at the top rubbing against it punctured the thin plastic. Do not buy this even at $11 it is a waste!

• Weak hanger & plastic

  I bought several of these and was pleased for about a week then they started to fall off the closet rod. The hanger is so flimsy that it cannot support the weight of two ski pants (Kid size) and three winter coats. These bags are advertised for that purpose but the hanger is too weak.
  
  I also bought some regular space bags and was disappointed by the flimsy plastic. The slightest bump and they tear and become useless.
  
  I would be better off doing it with Garbage bags they are more sturdy. Very disappointed by the $50 I spent for nothing. I will write to the manufacturer.

  Works great. Took a wedding dress with under slip and made it manageable in the closet. Kept it bug free. Dress came back as promised.

  I've read some people complain about this product. It works just fine for me! I suggest you keep it away from kids, pets, and sharp objects. You should have no problem, if you read the instructions, and SEAL it properly. Not rocket science really. Works best if you do it on the bed where it can lay nice and flat for sealing and vacuuming it tight.
  
  Great for keeping winter coats or whatever, clean, and compressed to save a LOT of space! I will use more of these for sure...

• More than I expected

  This Space bag has allowed me to store alot more clothes than I expected. I did have to use wire hangers so that I could hang more clothes in the bag because the plastic hangars are too thick and take up too much space on the Space Bag's hangar. I'm glad I still had wire hangars laying around.The wire hangars do not affect the clothes because they are compressed in the Space bag. This Space bag was very easy to use, had no problem closing it either. Just hang it up when you're zipping it so that the clothes all hang smoothly and then lay it down on the bed to get air out with vacuum cleaner. I love this bag and plan to get at least 4 more. What a difference this made in my closet.I totally recommend this bag, it's the best investment for your money, and your clothes.

• Difficult to zip up

  It took a lot of time zipping the bag up. Definitely not as easy as sealing a ziploc bag (which I was expecting). Once I got over that hurdle, everything else was a breeze. Very useful bag. Holds a lot of dresses. Great space saver and clothes preserver.

• more dfficult than the regular bags

  the hanging bags are more difficult to work with than the large or extra large bags - difficult to fold into suitcase but are useful for moving.
