  • Fairly large, light, zipper almost broke on the first use

These are fairly large garment bags. I was able to pack 3 days worth of business clothes and items into this bag that included one full suit, 3 shirts, 2 pants, business shoe, sleepwear, toiletries, socks etc. The bag was really packed after I was done. It became so bloated, I had hard time closing the outer zipper, but when I did, the zipper almost, but not quite, broke. It left a small open seam which I was able to close by forcing the zipper backwards.

The aluminum handle rises to to a high level so one can attach the upper portion of the suitcases to the top of the aluminum handle. In essence, this luggage can work as a rolling suit closet. The wheels can be rolled both on 4 wheels or 2 wheels. They offer little resistance and roll smoothly without squeal. The bag is also very light and sturdy (except for the zippers).

My suit and shirts came out as wrinkle free as I can expect them after a 3000 mile trip. I was able to wear my clothes without any additional ironing.

This item is way too large to be a carry on luggage. So if you are looking for a business carry on luggage, you should look elsewhere.

Overall, I am happy with this garment bag. I will just be little more careful before packing it next time because I am afraid the zipper MAY malfunction again.

  • Rugged, easy to use, lots of storage

I purchased this bag to take overseas for a 7 day trip to Asia. It fit two suits and all of my assorted belongings. There are storage compartments everywhere and the ability to lay it flat or hang it up came in very handy. The wheels rolled equally well on a sidewalk, over carpet and in the airport. I was able to attach my laptop and other carry-on luggage to the top of this rolling bag, making it even easier to breeze through my travels. It's well-balanced (when full, or course) to support attaching auxiliary bags to it without worrying about it falling over. Otherwise it's very lightweight.

The 4 caster wheels were tough, smooth and they dealt with cracks in the sidewalk and steps effortlessly. The handle slid up and down flawlessly, every time.

This bag flew through four airports and six countries (and airline baggage handlers/conveyor systems) without so much as a scratch or a frayed seam. I've purchased luggage at a Membership Warehouse store before and that soft-sided luggage began to fall apart after it's first trip to New York. This bag didn't so much as scuff. The material is rugged and the workmanship seems really quite solid.

I would recommend this to anyone who needed great quality garment bag.

After researching many garment bags, I chose the Samsonite Silhouette 11 Spinner Garment Bag. The reviews on the bag were very good, and I have not been disappointed. I have used the bag on two trips, and the ease at which the bag moves through the airports is amazing. There is virtually no resistance in rolling the bag upright, but if necessary, the bag can be "dragged" in a conventional way (on two wheels instead of on four). I am able to easily pack three suits, shirts, shoes, belts, socks, underclothing, and toiletries in the bag. And when each hanging item is placed in a plastic dry cleaning type bag, no ironing is required at the destination. My concern is whether the spinning wheels will endure the wrath of baggage handlers at our friendly airlines, but so far so good. The cordura exterior appears very resilient and is holding up well. I highly recommend this product.

  • Much better than I expected

I'm really hard on luggage from traveling a lot with many different airlines. I went with this luggage for the four independent wheels and the ability to roll the luggage on carpet in their advertisement. (I wonder when airports will finally take out the carpet!) I just used it for the first time on a multi-city trip and could not have been happier. No more weight pulling on my shoulder. No dragging on carpet. Even when I hooked the 29" and the tote together, the larger suitcase rolled perfectly. It's especially nice to be able to turn the tote sideways and roll it down the airplane aisle.

    Highly recommend these suitcases.
